Our Vision

Every child in the BooSt Together for Children Early Childhood Iowa Area will be healthy and successful. Our Board has unique partnerships with area agencies to provide families with the following services:

Family Support

These programs include home visits that are designed to strengthen protective factors, including parenting skills, increasing parental knowledge of child development, and increasing family functioning and problem-solving skills. Funded programs follow the Parents As Teachers Curriculum. For more information contact LSI.

Preschool Tuition

Income-verified children living below 200% poverty are eligible for a preschool tuition scholarship with a sliding fee scale. Some restrictions may apply. Preschools offering this opportunity include:

Support for Child Care

Recruitment and retention stipends for child care providers are designed to increase the quality and capacity of childcare environments. These are available at Future Bulldogs Childcare, Child Care Junction, and Tiger Tots. Foundations Learning Center also provides professional development wage supplements to current staff.

CPR & First Aid Scholarships are available by contacting Mariah at Child Care Junction.

Early Literacy

Raising Readers of Story County - Raising Readers has piloted a program enhancement to create take-home literacy lending kits containing books, questioning and discussion prompts, and activities to encourage caregivers to extend and replicate the skills learned in our program and enhance at-home literacy development.

Car Seat Safety

Provides car seats to families in need, referred by local providers.
Eligibility: Families must reside in Boone or Story County and have an income at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level.
Car Seat checks are being held throughout Boone and Story County.

Essential Needs

Designed to provide immediate relief and support to families facing economic challenges by addressing fundamental necessities such as food, clothing, diapers, and other critical household items.
